DURHAM, N.C. – Duke field hockey head coach Pam Bustin has announced the program's 2015 spring competition slate, which features four dates at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium, including a matchup with the United States U21 national team.
The Blue Devils will open spring action Saturday, March 21 by hosting Liberty, Virginia and Wake Forest for Duke Play Day. The squad will hold another play day Sunday, March 22 in Durham, with American, Old Dominion and Virginia taking part.
On Saturday, March 28, Duke will welcome Boston College, Maryland and the U.S. U21 squad to Durham for a series of scrimmages.
In April, the Blue Devils will travel to nearby Wake Forest for a matchup on Saturday the 11th and will return to Durham the following day to conclude the spring slate against North Carolina.
Under the direction of Bustin and the Duke coaching staff, the program will return 17 letterwinners and nine starters from the 2014 campaign, which saw the Blue Devils compile a 13-7 record and advance to the NCAA quarterfinals.
