Heinsohn Continues to Train with U.S. U-18 Team

DURHAM, N.C. – After training with the United States U-18 Women's National Team during the month of April in California, Duke signee Brooke Heinsohn will head back west to Carson, Calif., for another training May 21-28 at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center.

U.S. Soccer Women's Technical Director April Heinrichs has called up 26 players for the training.

All the players in this camp are age-eligible for the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, which has an age cut-off of players born on or after Jan. 1, 1996, but the goal for this age group is to ultimately qualify for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, which will be held in France.

Heinsohn, a 6-1 goalkeeper who hails from Norfolk, Mass., led The Rivers School to a 16-0-3 record and the New England Prep School Athletic Council Class B tournament championship as a senior.  She allowed only two goals in 10 matches and recorded shutouts in all three NEPSAC tournament games.

She has trained with both the U-20 and U-18 national teams over the past year.
