DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke at South Carolina women's basketball matchup that will take place Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2:00 p.m., will be aired live on ESPN2, which has been announced by league officials.
In the second game of a home-and-home series between the two schools, the Dec. 6 contest is expected to be one of the marquee early-season matchups in women's college basketball. This past December, South Carolina traveled to Cameron Indoor Stadium where the Gamecocks scored as time expired to notch a 51-50 victory over the Blue Devils in a battle of top 10 teams.
South Carolina leads the overall series, 2-1, with the other two meetings coming in 2001 and 2002. It will mark the first time in the series Duke has traveled to Columbia.
The Gamecocks return three starters off their 2015 NCAA Final Four squad under the direction of head coach Dawn Staley. South Carolina returns its top three scorers and top two rebounders, including two-time SEC Player of the Year Tiffany Mitchell.
As a team, Duke collected a 23-11 overall and 11-5 ACC mark as the Blue Devils advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 this past season. Duke will return three starters next year with

Duke has signed the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation that includes five very talented incoming freshmen, while the Blue Devils also inked Maryland transfer
Lexie Brown. Brown will sit out the 2015-16 campaign due to NCAA transfer rules and has two years of eligibility remaining. Included in the top-ranked recruiting class are
