Maurer Named to ACC All-Tournament Team

DURHAM, N.C. – Senior attacker Kerrin Maurer was voted to the 2015 ACC Women's Lacrosse All-Tournament Team, as released by the conference following Sunday's championship contest.

Maurer, who hails from Setauket, N.Y., totaled seven points on five goals and two assists in the Blue Devils' two ACC Championship games. She recorded a hat trick in the quarterfinal win over Louisville, her fifth of the season. Maurer also added four draw controls and two ground balls in the two contests.

For the season, Maurer paces the Duke attack in points, goals, assists and draw controls. She also leads the squad in multiple assist games with nine on the spring and ranks second in hat tricks. The senior has ranked among the ACC leaders in assists throughout the season and is currently second all-time in program history in career assists (114).

Last week, Maurer was named to the All-ACC first team and selected as one of just 25 nominees for the 2015 Tewaaraton Award, which honors the top male and female college lacrosse players in the United States.

Maurer and the fourth-ranked Blue Devils conclude regular season play Sunday, May 3 in an 11:30 a.m. contest against Johns Hopkins at Koskinen Stadium. The matchup will be broadcast on ESPN3, and the program's eight seniors will be honored following the game.
