Martin Named to AP All-Bowl Team

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke senior kicker Ross Martin has been named to the Associated Press All-Bowl Team following his 14-point performance against Indiana in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.  Martin booted the game-winning field goal in overtime to help the Blue Devils to a 44-41 victory over the Hoosiers.

Martin, a native of Solon, Ohio, connected on all three of his field goal attempts while converting five PAT tries.  His field goals covered 52, 34 and 36 yards to push his Duke single-season record total to 26.  Martin, who kicked the game-tying PAT with 41 seconds left in regulation, also finished the 2015 campaign with a school single-season record 120 total points.

A four-time All-ACC and three-time honorable mention All-America selection, Martin finished his 53-game career having booted 78-of-93 field goals and 196-of-197 extra points.  His 430 total points rank second in ACC history, trailing only former Florida State standout Dustin Hopkins (466).

Martin will represent Duke in the East-West Shrine Game on January 23 in St. Petersburg, Fla.  The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and will be televised live by the NFL Network.
