Duke Ranked 13th in Directors? Cup Standings

DURHAM, N.C. - Duke Athletics currently ranks 13th in the latest Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings, released Thursday by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.  

Duke has secured 672.50 total points and is among seven ACC schools ranked in the top 30, joining North Carolina (2nd), Virginia  (6th), Notre Dame (8th), Florida State (16th), Louisville (28th) and Virginia Tech (30th).  Stanford leads the overall rankings with 1,349.50 points.  

In the spring session, Duke has earned points in women's lacrosse (83), men's tennis (64), women's tennis (50) and men's lacrosse (25).  The Blue Devils earned 110.00 points in the fall and 340.50 points during the winter.

The next standings will be released on June 11.

The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's national finish in up to 20 sports -- 10 women's and 10 men's.
